Part 10 The Muslim Brotherhood
On Feb. 1, 2011 the news media, reporting on the crisis in Egypt, quoted The Muslim Brotherhood's boast of the slogan:"Islam is the solution."
The goals of the Muslim brotherhood are set forth in the "home page" of the group * (this page is unavailable, even at the suggested link "ummah.com main page"):
Main objectives (according to the Encyclopedia of the Middle East, q.v.)
A huge tree of "sub-goals" branches from these main objectives which are derived from the Quran and the tradition of the prophet (pbuh) [3,4]:
1- Building the Muslim individual: brother or sister with a strong body, high manners, cultured thought, ability to earn, strong faith, correct worship, conscious of time, of benefit to others, organized, and self-struggling character [3].
2- Building the Muslim family: choosing a good wife (husband), educating children Islamically, and inviting other families.
3- Building the Muslim society (thru building individuals and families) and addressing the problems of the society realistically.
4- Building the Muslim state.
5- Building the Khilafa (basically a shape of unity between the Islamic states).
6- Mastering the world with Islam.
* It should be pointed out that the "home page" notes that the person who prepared it is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore the information may not be authoritative. It cites two sources:

Muslim Brotherhood in North America
The Ikhwan or Muslim Brotherhood have also been established in North America since the 1960s. A document published by them explained: “The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. The above document came to light as evidence in the case of the Holy Land Foundation. Among other institutions, the Ikhwan in the United States founded the Muslim Students Union and the Muslim Students Association**, which spread their ideology and apparently engaged in underground activities under the cover of innocent activities such as civil rights groups and charitable foundation.*

Robert Spencer says this is in line with similar initiatives in the U.S. where the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Muslim Students Association displays, on the "Muslim Accommodations Task Force" page of its website, pamphlets entitled:
How to Achieve Islamic Holidays on Campus
How to Establish a Prayer Room on Campus
How to Achieve Halal * Food on Campus. ( * Halal means "allowed by Sharia") (Stealth Jihad, Regnery Publishing Co., 2008, p. 174)
Another guide, now no longer available at the site, tells MSA members that "as Muslims, we are a nation elected by God to lead humanity." (ibid., p. 174)
The means that the MSA is using to bring Muslims into leadership in the U.S. are stealthy rather than violent, says Spencer. They make canny use of mainstream liberal cant and national traumas over race. When Muslim students present these demands to school administrators, they do so in language that those administrators find difficult to refuse. The MSA directs Muslim students to present its demand in the context of multiculturalism and civil rights. (ibid., pp. 174f)
The difference, notes Spencer, between the Black civil rights movement and the MSA initiatives on campuses today is: the calls for separate eating and exercise facilities are a strange, discordant note that varies with the desire for equal consideration for black Americans. Their agenda is not interested in equal consideration, but in being separate.
Demanding a place at the table is not the same as demanding a separate table of one's own, so as not to have to eat with infidels. Every Western capitulation made to demands for separate accommodations for Muslims only feeds these supremacist notions, and is contrary to the goals of the civil rights movement in America, says Spencer. ibid., (p. 176)

Editor's counter view of the Muslim Brotherhood's slogan: Islam is the problem, not the solution
The Editor of Koranlore counters the Muslim Brotherhood's slogan:"Islam is the solution" thus: "On the world stage, Islam is not the solution; it is the problem."
Like all religions, Islam is the bane of mankind. (Bane is defined in Webster's 3rd New International Dictionary as "poison; death, destruction; curse."
Islam especially represents poison to non-Muslims, non-believers of Islam, death and destruction to all who do not believe, as Muslims do, in a god named Allah who demands
1) absolute submission to the one god (Allah),
2) or payment of a special tax (jizya) by non-believers as a penalty to Muslims,
3) or finally, upon refusal of such penalty payments, death, destruction at the hands of Muslims!
These are the only choices for non-believers under Islam, according to Muslims. This is reminiscent of the modern lawless organization known as the Sicilian Mafia! In other words, Muslims are mobsters in the name of the religion Islam! Non-Muslims would be obliged to pay Muslims protection money to remain non-Muslims, according to the Prophet Muhammad who claimed to receive the word of (his) god Allah, the Qur'an, (wink, wink) through the angel Gabriel.
Throughout history where Islam was the dominant political force, non-Muslims, Jews, Christians were subjugated to cultural forms of discrimination and humiliation as well as the jizya tax. (Cf. Koranlore, Chapter 6, Muslim Supremacy and Discrimination: The Covenant of Omar.)
Christians, whether Catholic or Protestant, are generally less vindictive than Muslims, being content to try to persuade non-believers to Christianity by preaching. But Christianity too is the bane of mankind wherever its followers oppress non-believers to accept their religion.
Every religion is, in effect, the bane of mankind wherever it forces submission of non-believers to its particular set of religious tenets.
The Muslim Brotherhood is well organized and growing in the United States. American citizens must be ever-vigilant against demands of Muslims to dominate our American society, culture and customs. (Cf. Part 7 Muslim Demands for Accommodation, "Religion is the Bane of Mankind," biblelore.com.)
The Egyptian people are facing attempts by the Muslim Brotherhood to gain increasing control of their political life. Americans must likewise guard against this same kind of domination by this political organization, The Muslim Brotherhood, which operates under the guise of religion.
